Fire Safety for Children

Hey there, future firefighters! Staying safe from fire is super important, and you can be a fire safety hero by following these simple rules:

Never play with matches or lighters—they’re only for grown-ups!
Know your escape plan—talk to your family about the quickest way out of your home in case of fire.
Stay low and go—if there’s smoke, crawl under it to get to safety.
Stop, drop, and roll—if your clothes catch fire, don’t run! Stop, drop to the ground, and roll until the fire is out.
Call 911—if there’s a fire, get outside and ask an adult to call for help.
